This song reminds me of my High School sweetheart. We meet in high school in 1972. We went our separate ways in 1975. I married in 1979 and after 30 years of marriage I was a widow. We found each other again through a mutual friend after 38 years. When we saw each other it felt like not a day had passed, we felt like teenagers again. God gave us a second chance to be together.

Nice song and summertime indeed is Great when you have someone to share it with. I am old now at 70 and my wife is 67 but we still enjoy summertime and go out to walk and enjoy the heat and the sun.  The smell of flowers when one walks in a park is good to scent.

This song makes me happy and sad at the same time. This song was dedicated to my girlfriend at the time during her senior year in high school in one of those goofy little articles that they put in the school newspaper. We were married over 46 years and I lost her one year ago today. God I miss her! But I’m trying to remember all the wonderful times we had together. Music can be so powerful.

I think this song shows what beauty can be found in the common everyday scenarios we all experience. The simple act of arriving home at the end of the week and appreciating the sights, sounds, scents and comforts. I was 8 when this came out. That Summer my parents took me on my first plane trip to California. This was playing in my headphones as I saw my first sunset from above the clouds. California was fun but it just couldn't compare to that.
