the BEAUTIFUL 2022 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum | CAR MOM TOUR

The Nissan Pathfinder received a redesign in 2022 and it was quite the redesign! The new rugged and more modern exterior puts the Pathfinder in competition with popular vehicles like the Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade. All in all I am impressed with the new Pathfinder! I think it has potential to be an awesome family car. I am super excited to see how the Pathfinder does in 2022.

I chose my “mom car” solely based on your reviews and was NOT disappointed whatsoever. I appreciate how you care more about the family features than things like horse power and torque. I recommend you to everyone!

I am a fan of the all-new, 2022 Nissan Pathfinder AWD with the eight-passenger seating configuration.

Alot of the third row suv's are centered around smaller children. I would love to see one that accommodates parents with growing teens because it's hard to find a vehicle that fits a family with 2 or more growing teenagers over 5'7

First of all great job! I have seen a lot of reviews and you answered my main question. Does a stroller fit better with the extra storage bin up. And yes it does!! With the third row up there is good room.
I am a current owner of a 2015. I just can’t make the move to upgrade yet. I would like to stick with Nissan. But they don’t have an amazing family option. With no van option, the least they can do is to design the pathfinder to offer similar features. The armada in my mind is an suv for an older family. The pathfinder should be for the younger family. That way there will be an upgrade as the family grows.

Features I like to see (it may have but have not been able to find info on).
1. Rear car seat camera.
2.drop down mirror to see ppl in the back.
3. Digital mirror to see the road when ppl or the tried tow headrests are obstructing view.
4. Speaker system. In my 2015 ppl in the third row can not hear the driver or passenger.
5. Remote car stat on the phone. The built in one does not work close enough. I live in Northern Canada were we need to plug in our car. At work I have to start it at least once on a 12 hr night. Would be nice not to leave to start it.
6. I like the purse holder, but for a mom that’s a tiny bag. It is usually a diaper bag. The gmc feature of being able to push back the center counsel for a large bag is perfect.
8. Rear electronic screens. We use mine all the time. Trying to fix iPad and drive is impossible. Plus cords not fitting and headphones. My daughter uses it and loves it! She quiet. But I can still listen to my own stuff. And I have the control. Needs to be an option still. Just upgrade the apps. Ie. Fire stick. Also, looking down at an iPad can cause motion sickness. So looking up is a lot better.
7. I hope the passenger seat is still powered. And would be nice if there was a button to move the seat forward when loading kids in the car. The button would be bushed from the second row behind the driver/passenger seat.
8. To be really dance a vacuum or cooler in the the middle counsel would be nice.
That would be to much to ask though.
9. Kick to open lift gate. And kick to close.
10. A self that can be added to make extra space in the back. After a stroller is in it’s hard to pile much. Or with groceries, you could put cold things in the bottom compartment. Then your stroller. Then with a shelf on top the rest of your things. There is one car maker that does it, just don’t remember which one.
11. 90 degree door open feature. This one gets me. The armada had it but no car seat friendly tilt. The Nissan should have both. Don’t they go together. Car seats and these functions.
All in all, I hope that they can at least improve the safety features. (Speaker and camera view). And ADD the screens back! Then I will re-purchase!

Bought a 22 Pathfinder today thanks to this video!! I've followed so many of your tours and it really helped me narrow down my search. Loving the Pathfinder and how it will grow with our family. Currently an 18mo rear facing and one on the way ❤

Great review as usual 👏👏! I bought a SL premium as we call them in 🇨🇦! Love it. We have twins who are 15 months old. We have Graco slim fit 3 in one car seats and with 2 of them in in second row, there is ample space for an adult( second row is bench). Tried palisade and Telluride both, they are a bit luxurious inside but pathfinder exterior looks terrific. Would have picked telluride but it’s wait time is 14 months . I also found palisade steering is light compared to pathfinder . Over all very happy with the purchase.

TOTALLY agree on purse holder and "fingerprint city". Appreciate the captain seats, but wish there was complete pass thru to the third row (instead of cup holders) for my teens

Daaaang I didn't even consider a Pathfinder when shopping for a 3 row SUV. I the exterior of this and some bits of the interior but I love my Pallisade. LIke you said, the luxuriousness is there and for some reason, it looks like it'd be a bit roomier. Appreciate the reviews you do.

Yeah, exactly! I got a family of 4 and need this type of car for some extra seating when we have family visiting. Most days 3rd row would be down tho… This seems the better option in terms of 3rd row space for mid-size suv.

Hi Kelly! I have a 2022 Pathfinder Platinum same color exterior and interior as your demo. With my 27 pound daughter buckled into her car seat, my other daughter has hit the button on the back of the seat and little sister is launched forward into the back of the driver seat while I was driving on several occasions. I took my vehicle to McLarty Daniel Nissan in Bentonville, AR today. They were able to replicate the scenario in my vehicle and a brand new Pathfinder on their lot. They called Nissan. Nissan says there is no problem. This is not ok. Buyer beware. I also commented on the other Pathfinder review 3 weeks ago.

I typically am not a fan of the interior color, but for some reason for this car it works.
