I wrote a letter for Malcolm after he passed that I keep in my personal file in my safe stating how he inspired me. It reads "Malcolm, often times it's the lead guitarist that inspires kids to get up and play so they can be center stage. You inspired me to pick up the guitar and mash out a handful of chords and be a powerful force that drives the rhythm section. As you move on to the great gig in the sky know that you still inspire me to pick up my guitar and play. I may never be on a big stage but when I'm in my living room and close my eyes I feel like the world is watching. Gone but never forgotten, I love you Malcolm. Rest In Power.

He’s 100% right. It’s not the death that devastates you it’s the decline. I watched my father wither away to almost bones from cancer. He used to be a strong person that could do anything almost. His death was relief from his pain. But the decline was beyond painful to watch.

I feel your pain Angus. I’ve lost 2 Brothers myself. It never goes away. Their suffering has ended. Which is ok. I think about them every day, which I’m sure you do too. Not easy.

True. I watched my Grandfather go through this. He always smiled when I walked in the room though...These two brothers stand for something that is lost....Good, honest Rock and Roll. They are the Pinnacle of their art. So much respect and admiration for these men.

I can vouch for what Angus said, because I experienced it too. I lost my dad from cancer in 2015, and the decline was far more painful than the actual passing.
