I’ve found bringing in waxed dynamite is quite effective as well. If you leave Rotjaw alone in the water for a little bit, she will surface randomly for about 6 seconds. And it has an audio cue. If you hear it and start cooking dynamite, she is fairly easy to spot at that point and doesn’t move. It makes for a pretty easy explosion tap. It’s possible to land without waxed, but you need to be proficient with the cooking timing or you end up throwing your dynamite into the water.

Let me add a bit of my experience with the boss:
- When Rotjaw is triggered, you can stand on land and wait, she will come to the surface and be static for some seconds there. Enough to cook waxed explosives, but not a sticky.
- Rotjaw "spawns" to my testing in a fixed distance to the aggroed player in water, that being roughly 10-12 meters. To effectively use posion, pick a spot on land, that acts like a "bay" and then always step in the water to trigger her bubbles and fall back. That way you can pre-poison the whole waterside area where she spawns and do her the lazy way.
-The charged attack does 125 dmg, leaving a single small bar, consistently to my experience.
-Without gator legs turn directly 90° left or right from the sound you hear, when she attacks (bubble or roar) and sprint, at the end jump, do 180° and melee her unscathed.
- Rotjaw phase 1 wearing the collar has no hitbox on the collar for non-pen ammo. Had several poison bullets not affect her, like shooting a hellhound with helmet.
- Rotjaw counts as a "roaming target", not a wildcard.
- Rotjaw has no triple charge pattern, when resetting via going to land. It seems to reset the attack rotation.

It is a beautiful addition to the bayou. Keep up the good work!

They actually had the same idea as me. I always wanted a roaming boss, nice.
Would love a boss that tracks hunters too, like a werewolf .

I love the centennial shorty suppressed with poison and levering, sparks with poison works amazing as well. I used throwing knives once but noticed they fall out of her and into the water once she submerges so you have to be careful trying to dodge attacks and find your knives.

The liquid firebomb will burn her in the water even when shes under water. Works well in some of the smaller locations.

In particular, blunt damage seems to be most effective. A buddy and I even found and unwieldly but hilariously effective attack: the heavy melee strike of the Winfield Centennial Trauma. That thing should not do as much damage as it does; it even outdamaged the *Bomblance* heavy melee on her!

Have to say, taht i really love clue system for Rotjaw, it's more like a hunt.
I would like to see to replace regular clue system for the rest of bosses.
Event is definitely the best that we can have played.. 👍👍

Excited, this paves the way for alternative tracking and possible boss reworks in the future. Imagine the spider or assasin in the woods doing their things from branch to branch!
The boss itself seems fine, though frustrating without prior knowledge imo.

I threw a waxed dynamite on top of her while she was still completely underwater, just saw some ripples, and it did 75% dmg in one explosion! Tricky to pull off though.

If she surfacec, the dynamite seems to do less damage
