This is the seventh video in an eight part video series to teach you about some of the basic concepts you will run into with 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS.
Virtual components allow designers to create parts that are saved internally to an assembly rather than referencing an external part. This provides more flexibility and is especially useful when in a concepting phase.
3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS does not support the creation of virtual components, but you still may run into them when working with others on 3DEXPERIENCE. This video will show you what to look out for and show you what to do if you run into virtual components.
