The day TO stunned me by basically playing with one leg.
Guy put his entire career on the line to play this game. Mad respect-for Terrell. If he would have caught a TD pass the eagles would have won n he would have been MVP.

Wtf was that drive? Down by 10, less than five minutes and the Eagles offense taking their sweet ass time. Must’ve been incredibly frustrating for Eagles fans watching it while it was happening.

The NFL was dominated by four powerful teams that season. The defending SB Champion Patriots, the 15-1 Steelers, the Colts with MVP Peyton and the best team in the NFC the Eagles now with TO. The Patriots had to defeat all three of them en route to this SB victory. The toughest competition in postseason history in my view.

Brady is so insane he literally had 2 separate dynasties

This game stamped the 2004 Patriots as the greatest team in franchise history. Perfectly built for the playoffs with a great defense, Corey Dillon killing the clock, and of course Brady. Makes sense why they bludgeoned the next two champions (Steelers/Colts) on their way to this game.

Crazy to think that Jacksonville hosted this Super Bowl

Fun Fact: Deion Branch was named MVP for Super Bowl XXXIX.

Andy Reid has had 2 Rosters Loaded with Talent in the Eagles and The Chiefs and in 9 Conference Championship Game Trips, He only has 3 Superbowl Appearances, and 1 Superbowl Win to show for it.

Still can’t believe it’s the last NFL Super Bowl team to repeat back to back, and remains to this very day, 2017 Pats, 2014 Seahawks and 2020 chiefs almost did it tho, that just goes to show u how tough a NFL team to repeat B2B

2004 Patriots are an all time great team, perfect balance of staunch defense, deep passing, and physical running. The addition of Corey Dillon, Brady’s own improving deep ball, and the still-ferocious defense. The 2007 team was similar but the run game wasn’t as good and the defense was older; this 04 team itself easily could have gone 16-0, they lost in Pittsburgh week 8 without Dillon or Deion Branch, had they won that game I doubt they lose to Miami on MNF if they come in 13-0.

The commentators didn’t even imagined that the Pats would not only be a dynasty in the 2000’s but also in the 10’s. They were ice cold killer machines

Terrell Owens might’ve won MVP if the Eagles had won. He was also injured, imagine how much more explosive he could’ve been if he was 100%.

Gotta do Colts/Bears SB41 sometime that game was so weird

T.O. had a heart of a champion that day. Even with his ankle he still balled. Maybe if McNabb wasn't hungover throwing to the Pat's or throwing up on the field instead of passing more to TO we would've won.

Westbrook was an unsung heroe for that ‘04 Eagles team. He was so effective and efficient. Sucked his injuries got the best of his later career

T.O’s stiff arm that game was monstrous

These teams on both sides of the ball were stacked. You got two great qbs in mcnabb and the goat brady, receivers such as TO and Deion branch, rbs in Brian Westbrook and Corey Dillon, and that defense was just astounding

I’ll always remember how a Philadelphia paper published the Eagles planned parade route and Belichick read it to the Patriots roster before the game.
