One of the biggest success stories in American Battlefield Trust history was preserving 44 acres right in the heart of the Antietam battlefield in 2015. Join Kris White, Dennis Frye, Kevin Pawlak and Evan Portman as the detail the important fighting that happened here. #AntietamBattlefieldTour

The American Battlefield Trust preserves America’s hallowed battlegrounds and educates the public about what happened there and why it matters. We permanently protect these battlefields for future generations as a lasting and tangible memorial to the brave soldiers who fought in the American Revolution, the War of 1812, and the Civil War.

I'm really glad that the corn field didn't fall in the hands of some project developer that would have turned it into a MacDonald restaurant.

Dennis i can't say enough about what you and your associates have done to preserve these precious Battle Fields from encroachment by developers. I've never been to any of these sites, but I get a clearer picture of what took place there by watching these videos. Thank you so much.

Antietam is one of my favorite battlefields to visit as as well. Sorry I can't make it this year so I'm enjoying your coverage today. Hope to walk that hallowed ground again.

This is one of the best ABT videos I’ve seen. All presenters explained their topics extremely well. I have a better understanding now of the battlefield thanks to ABT. Keep up the great work.

So amazing these young men gave it all to preserve their ideology! Many say it is sad, but the men on both sides wouldn't take back their actions because they loved their nation.

I'm passionate about history in general, but it's so sad thinking of all the men wounded and killed as you describe the action! I am a monthly supporter of the American Battlefield Trust, and appreciate all that y'all do.

Here in Ulster County, NY, we remember the service and sacrifices of the 20th NYSM (aka 80th NYV) who were engaged while serving with Patrick's Brigade. And a company of Kingston men also served with the 102nd NY as part of Greene's Brigade. Always enjoy these ABT videos. Thanks.

My great great grandfather fought with the Reveres and Holmes in the 20th Mass, the Harvard regiment. He enlisted as a 42 yo in April 1862 and fought with them until wounded at Cold Harbor and mustered out in 1864. That regiment had the fifth highest casualty rate in the union army. William Gartland of County Tyrone, Ireland.

Awesome coverage. It was an honour to meet and have a chat with Gary at the LR event on the Reel Farm today. Keep up the outstanding work you do in securing hallowed ground for future generations to study and enjoy. P & J, London, Ontario
