Good question. We'll have to check that option out but need to purchase a tablet to do so. Not sure what's misleading about "Z Sim LCD for iRacing and rFactor 2 Review by Inside Sim Racing". To me it says we're reviewing an LCD that works with iRacing and rFactor 2. We'll change it if it's that misleading.

Thanks so much for posting your comment. I never thought of trying to use my PSP or anything as a tachometer but after reading this and a quick google search you'r right, you can use a PSP, which has saved me a lot of money I guess :)

They are Clubsport V2s with DSD Titlton pedal pads

Not a silly question at all. It's common in race cars. That way your eye movement can be kept to a minimum since the desired reading (like revs for changing gears) is in 12 o'clock. Same with oil pressure, water temps etc...

It looks super similar to the DFGT, the paddle shifters were the difference. Thanks for correcting me!

because in stock car racing, the only gauge that the driver really reads lap by lap is the fuel pressure gauge and the oil temp, then relays it back to his or her crew.

If you'd make this as an app for iOS and Android every iRacer with a smartphone (existing and paid expensive hardware with touchscreen) would buy it. At least I would in a heartbeat.

darin can you do a 1 minute video doing this please.

use any car in I racing. and select the cocpit view, so you can see an analouge or digital rev counter (that is in game) then I want you to drive around with the cockpit view plus have the z sim lcd running.
I want to specifically compare and see if there is any input lag like in your last box you were running, there was a lot of lag, in the Tacho, so I want to see it in action

So those pedals are definitely Fanatec, but when are they going public? I've never seen those and they look pretty neat, possibly worth upgrading my clubsports.

Hmm... I agree with the fact I would prefer a few more HW types supportred, and you buy the support for that HW type. With how cheap iPads are (generation 1), why not just create an App on that device with a good mount? Regardless, nice review and it appears a nice product.

This is cool but if you have an iOS device (iphone, ipod touch, ipad) or Android phone or tablet you can get an app like iRacingDash or iSpeed that does something similar for iRaching. They may not have all the car specific dashes but its a good low cost alternative if you have the hardware already.
