Toyota RAV4 Turbo with 3S-GTE Engine // 450Hp/1050Kg Slalom Monster

Adam Ludescher is the owner and driver of this unique Slalom #HillclimbMonster. Taking the Toyota RAV4 as basis, a 3S-GTE from a Toyota MR2 was then swapped into it.

Here it is producing 450Hp to move 1050Kg, on this racer that is still 4wd, using an almost original drivetrain with the only big chages being the use of an aftermarket rear diff and straight cut gears.

The car is used on the European Championship of Slalom/Hillclimbing.

The idea to put a MR2 turbo engine in a Rav 10 is just brilliant. And the castrol livery makes it perfect. I would like to have one of those.

This is the equivalent to a GR Yaris by now. A small hatchback in form but actually a swing back, lightweight, turbo, awd, back slides on the entry, instant acceleration on exits, low end power and a damn Toyota.

You can't even call it an SUV if you lower it and build it for the track since it's a monocoque chassis + the suspension mix of Camry, Corona, Corolla and Celica. So it is qualified as a 90's GR Yaris in that build.
