This particular video obviously assumes you have some knowledge of Brian's book, POOLOLOGY. If you aren't familiar with the book and the ob positions on the table than, yes, this is confusing. However, if you have read the book or are vaguely familiar with it, this video makes perfect sense. The beginning shot has the ob at the 30 position and the direct line with the cue ball through the ob is at the 15 position with the side rail, which makes it a 1/2 ball shot(1/2 overhang). After a while, these positions and fractions become automatic and, after using this system for a couple of months, I came closer to becoming an automatic aim player, which is the object of the whole system. I'm not saying it's better than any other system, but for me it was easier to learn and gain the confidence to sink balls. Thanks again Brian.

Initially the book was a bit hard to consume for me due to its differences from traditional angle calculations, but it definitely gave me a new perspective of every shot I took ever since. For anyone that has trouble comprehending, the only way to get better is to play the game, using the system and play the game.

These videos are very good at teaching a person better aiming i believe getting the book is a bettr way or maybe the same but thanks its more detailed than the split the difference way wat do u think about that way of learning sir?

do i need to hit the center of the cue ball straight to the aiming point in the object ball?

Hello,

I'm all the way from the Netherlands and bought your (e)book a couple days ago.
A have read it already and I printed some layouts out to bring it to the pool hall to practice.

I have a straight shot with no English (I know because I tested it with a long shot on the short rail to roll the ball back on my tip)
I like your "system" but I can't get it right, it's like I don't aim at the right spot even though I aim at it and I have a straight shot.

Do you (or others) have any tips?

What if I have to back cut a ball from zone A and my alignment value falls on the long rail opposite from the pocket? Do the alignment values continue around the table? Considering that zone A reaches values of 70, this scenario should be possible..

First you say youre just gonna roll the cue ball, then ya move it 3 times to get the exact angle ya want.

But, i do thank ya for the effort, i know its not easy to always explain what youre trying to show !!

I have your book and it is wonderful! The only thing I am confused about is the Quarter Increment Scale. Can you please explain, "with 0 at an alignment value equal to the object ball position value." I really dont understand what that means, Thank you!

how do you look at the 2 balls and know that it is a half ball hit?

The one shot I saw him play told me he has a good stroke and is most likely an advanced player which is nice to know when spending time watching these videos. So often I see guys doing videos and their stroke is atrocious.
