10:50 Is Spot on! Owned a Gen1 and now a Gen2 Ranger Raptor, and it works perfect for our family of 4 as a do-literally-anything vehicle!

I agree with all your points, I find bad feel consumption eventually helps with good driving behavior over time.

Can't wait for this to hit the USA. love the review. I will be trading my 22F150-TREMOR for this. I don't need a full size truck for work and this will be around $55K US . about $20K less than an equal F150. the 3.0 is awesome

Switching the K02’s to the Yokohama geolanders 015’s was a game changer. Made the car ride even better, it’s quieter and the braking grip is hugely improved. Much more compliant in wet conditions as well. sure the K02’s are much better off road but shouldn’t be factory fitted in my opinion

Finally getting the Raptor in the US! This is a great video to help us know what to be on the look out for. I just ordered mine and I can't wait to compare pro’s and con’s to the Aussie versions.

I’ve had it for a few weeks now and really enjoy it but the #1 dislike is the 20 gallon gas tank. I get about 320 mile range on a full tank. It should be a 25 gallon tank. The additional 5 gallons would yield about an additional 100 miles and respectable range.

Extra breaking distance is a tyre issue. Put road tyres on and it would be better then most if not all twin cabs

The valves are throttle position sensity, so even in quiet mode when full throttle the valves open right up like in baja.

I agree on the stiffer ride compared to the previous gen, and that engine bay looks like a spaghetti vomit. Other than that, fantastic truck, love it

Mate firstly thank you for a perfect review of the Raptor. I have now had mine for two months and I totally agree with you on the good and bad, however mine had a firmware update and my large onboard display screen shows different menu's. Again thank for an outstanding review on this monster.

FYI: BF Goodrich is about to release an update to their AT … allegedly because of its poor emergency stopping performance.

Totally agree with the exhaust sound … shame they did not work with Borla and get a tuned length system in there to reduce the exhaust pluses crashing together from either V bank.

9. Sound is subjective. It’s way better than the 4 cylinder/diesel snoozefest that comes out of most shitbox trucks in the segment.

8. Oh come on. This is the most nit-picky malarkey on planet Earth. Unless you show up to a funeral in a straight piped, muffler deleted supercar, nobody will care. Hell, they will probably think you’re cool if you drive something like this to an interview. Not too flashy, but flashy enough to leave a good first impression.

7. No owner of this truck will give a damn about fuel economy.

6. Big truck + tiny wheels (no space for brake rotors) + all-terrains = less braking performance. Not a surprise and most people adjust for this shortcoming anyway by slapping on all-seasons. If you can afford a high performance truck, you can afford to swap tires for each use case.

5. Payload of 1400 isn’t bad compared to other off-road focused vehicles.

3. Just set the suspension to comfort instead of Baja. Baja doesn’t make the shocks softer, it makes them stronger so you don’t hit the bump stops on a jump.

2. Again, way better than the rest of the segment. Sync 4 > every other truck software and you are the only person who thinks Volkswagen makes a good infotainment system.

1. This is the same as number 8. You just said it differently.

In the “bads” … #5 is to be expected. Payload/towing capacities are set by the working horse in the vehicle lineup. Usually these are the strip out models, leaf springs, lightest configuration. When you add weight from strengthening components to endure off roading, change the tires for off roading performance, and remove the leaf springs again for better suspension travel/off roading… you are going to have compromises… and those are you will lose payload/towing capacity and the tires won’t help with on road grip.
