In one of Mike Holts videos, I remember him saying/showing that if the gas is hard piped to a properly grounded furnace, then the gas piping is considered to be bonded.

I replaced a service in PECO territory in PA. Prior to my work, gas service was brought to the house and the plumbers that installed the gas lineinside the home were instructed by PECO " terminate in the panel but do not bond to any part connected to a cold water line".
So when I replaced the panel, installed ground rods and bonded to cold water they went crazy! Long story - short - PECO engineers after I pointed out their bonding issue decided it best that a separate ground rod should be installed just for the gas line!!!😮

Do you have a video or know of one of the best things to highlight or learn in the codebook?

Do you feel a connection back to service neutral can be achieved at the main lug inside using a side tap

You said "..go back to the Service Neutral, " right at the end, but it looks like those Code items are calling out Ground, not Neutral. Misspoke, I'm guessing?
