In high school I had to interview someone that either served in ww2 or a family member that grew up just after. My grandparents had a friend that was in a bomber plane that went down and he was put into a concentration camp. He escaped two weeks before the end of the war. He took time out of his day to speak to me about his story and even gave me a letter saying thank you for listening to his story. I found out sadly he passed away last year. I'm very grateful to have heard a story from a soldier that was in ww2 with my own ears

I had a patient I took care of for 5 years who was a survivor of a concentration camp. She had so many stories to tell and that’s just the history of one person in a sea of thousands...I had so much respect for that woman, she was probably the most badass woman I will ever have the pleasure to know.

A polish guy, Jan Karski, was the first person to warn roosevelt and churchill about the holocaust in 1943 but they didnt believe him, maybe you could make a video about him?

So many people joking in the comments sadly . These guys were badass, with great courage against insurmountable odds.

When he pulled up the number 12, 000. I was like, that is alot of people to die in a month. Then he said in a day. And my heart sank for ever single one of those people that died.

It is terrible to think these kinds of conditions could be conceived by people to be inflicted on other people. It is so scary what people will do in the name of nationalism or just from following orders.

The worst part is, many of the survivors refused to tell their stories of escape for it was too horrible to retell. My grandfather was one such person. What we do know is he escaped a concentration camp at some point during the holocaust and fled to Russia on foot. Details are muggy unfortunately. But he was an absolute badass. I'm lucky to be named after him

those people who help them along the way are Saints tbh, really shows you that even when the world was in darkness, there's always a light of hope.

This is so heartbreaking but at the same time hats off to these two. Makes you think how lucky most of us are right now.

I’ve never heard of these 2 guys and their story . They deserve so much more credit and recognition for the heroic actions they make .

this video reminded me of my great-granddad's story, he dug his way out of a labour camp with a friend and escaped to a village, managing to survive. I have so much respect for those who lived during the war, I can't imagine how hard it must have been

it's amazing how much better a story can be with a little cartoon animation.
