It's been weird to see Silksong finally be confirmed for 2025. For me, the wait has been quite rough, for a multitude of reasons. I know this comment probably won't be seen, but Silksong pretty much saved my life.

A long long time ago, back in the distant past of 2020, I was in a rough space. I had lost all my friends, I had been going through some family troubles, and the world shut down due to covid. I won't get into all the details, but life just didn't feel worth living.

BUT I still wanted to play Silksong.

Hollow Knight was one of the greatest games I had ever played. So upon hearing about Silksong, I made myself a deal. I would play Silksong when it releases, and then "self destruct" after having enjoyed Team Cherry's next incredible game (please don't delete my comment, YouTube)

BUT as you all know, Silksong would take an agonizingly long time to come out. So I waited. I waited for Team Cherry's next masterpiece, the last thing I wanted to play.

And during that wait, life got better.

I found new, kinder friends. I worked things out with my family. And yes, I know it sounds corny, but I reconnected with my faith. But now, seeing as Silksong is so close to releasing, I have to think about what happens next. After all, I made a deal with myself.

It's crazy to think about what would have happened if Silksong released earlier, but I'm glad things turned out the way they did. This wait was the definition of enjoying the journey and not the destination, and the fandom, albeit a bit bananas, is still so enthusiastic and inspiring. I have a life that I love now, I have people that I care about! If I were to cut it off short, then I would have missed out on so much. So Team Cherry, if you ever read this, know you've saved a life :3

The Switch 1 release is really what's making me nervous. I noticed how they only mentioned Switch 2 in the tweet right as I saw it, and I swear to god if they go back on the Switch 1 release I am going to riot. I only have a Switch 1, and the gods above know I am never getting a Switch 2, not even for Silksong. (EDIT: I didn't know about how they DO clarify that Hades II is coming for both in its tweet, this has made my nerves even worse)

I have a theory, but I'm not sure. The white "tool" is actually a spell. It glows when you have enough silk and you can use silk to cast those spells. Check it out and you'll see that I might be right

The white tool symbols are actually hornet's spells! When they're grayed out, that indicates that you do not have enough silk to cast them. If they're lit up, that means you do! This means in silksong, different spells have different thread costs, unlike the knight's spells in hk

The white tools might be the skills that hornet uses silk for like the spear attack or gossamer storm. The white tools/skills might also turn into the grey tools when you don't have enough silk.

Last clip looks more like an arena than a boss fight. The other dead enemies around and the confined space for the fight remind me more of something like a Great Husk Sentry arena.
