When we say Istanbul, the first place that comes to mind is Topkapı Palace and we visited the Topkapı Palace Museum with a documentary taste. 600 years The administrative center of an empire spanning three continents… The residence of the Ottoman dynasty… The place where the Empire was ruled for 380 years. Buildings that smell like history. Invaluable works that can be called wealth are in this museum.

In the first part, we tried to convey it to you by visiting the Topkapı Palace entrance and the Harem apartment.

Harem is derived from the verb harama which means "to forbid" in Arabic and means "forbidden" or "protected". Harem refers to the secret and closed part of human life, the most untouchable part of the house.
Located in Topkapı Palace and where the sultans lived with their families, the Harem Chamber is an extremely important complex in terms of architectural history, as it reflects the architectural style features of various periods from the 16th century to the early 19th century. Standing out in this respect among its counterparts in Islamic palaces that have survived to the present day, Topkapı Palace Harem Chamber is located inside the Second Courtyard and over the back gardens.
