Have you ever ridden a bicycle with an oval chain ring? Does it make a difference in performance? Is it worth the money? In this video, I share my experience using the Rotor oval chain ring 50/34. What do you think? Do oval chain rings make a difference in your performance? In your opinion, is it effective or is it just a gimmick?

What proper setup and fitting are you talking about at the end of the video?

Why would you choose to go down to compact rings then stick to your mid compact setup with the q rings. I believe ROTOR recommends sticking to the same size as your round rings when choosing q rings. I could be wrong.

Would have been interesting to see how did the climb on both Q and nonQ 50/34. Alternatively compared the Q rings with AbsoluteBlack’s super compact 48/32 (or 46/30).

Which brand and style handle bars do you have on your bike. I'm looking for a similar setup with compact bars.

So how do you size the chain using the Q ring?

I could feel no difference and they are a detriment to the front change, I have gone back to the Rotor round rings if you are even and balanced I would use the round especially with the front change issues a lot of people have.
