Glad the screen can tilt like Nikon Z9. I brought an A7 IV and returned it because the screen only flips. The eight stop IBIS and new autofocusing are very attractive also. However, not sure I should upgrade my A7R4 yet.

Thank you for getting back to me. I did contact Sony and a very helpful person pointer out that I was probably inadvertenly hitting the AEL button. Since I have set the camera to back button focus, I don't use that button - so, I probably just had my thumb touching it - operator error!! Appreciate your help.

What is 10 bit 422 vs 16 bit raw? Sounds like a huge difference

Why would they include the capability to take 1000 jpg photos (10/sec) when the battery runs out in 440 (according to Sony specs). You'll never get to 1000 images.

One thing I don't like about the A7R IV is the inability to switch from full frame to crop mode instantly. I often have to wait while images were written to card. Has that been fixed with A7R V?

Excellent instructions. I have a question: I have found that the camera - when shooting manual, has a bad habit of putting a * on my screen and freexze the settings. the only way I can find to unlock it, is turning the camera off and then back on. Do you know how to eliminate that function?

they're good at the hardware department, software - not so much! A7RIII was so outdated, mobile app also felt like it was from 2007

Ordered a new Sony A7RV from B&H this week ($4K new). Received today an open box returned camera missing items and a broken view screen. Requested a replacement and I now have to pay to ship back a used open box broken camera. B&H is charging me shipping to return.
So I will not have camera for a planned event, ordered and paid full price for a new model and was shipped a returned broken camera.
What poor customer service to send junk out and even worse to charge shipping to return broken merchandise.
Clearly can’t trust B&H not to try and dump open box items on customers even when they pay full price. Even worse tell them they will be charged to ship back defective camera.
Such poor customer service on high dollar item.
