We review the nest temperature sensor and how it can make you sleep better with precise control of your heating and cooling system. The Nest Temperature Sensor works with your existing Nest Thermostat Generation 3 or Nest Thermostat E and allows you to monitor the temperature wherever you place it but also set your Nest Smart Thermostat to maintain the exact temperature you choose in the room that you placed your Nest Temperature Sensor.

The Nest Thermostat Temperature Sensor is great for controlling the temperature in bedrooms or multi-story homes for better heating and cooling control. It can also help you adjust the vents within your home to dial in the heating and cooling for ideal comfort.

Just wondering if a nest 3rd gen with a sensor would work for us? My present thermostat heat only two wire only (white and red) is behind my 48 inch TV witch on does not heat the house? I was curious if I could utilize this and have a sensor in the hallway where the temp is cool when the tv is on? Thank you for your great tutorials much appreciated, Mike

Been having issues with the master bedroom being hotter than the rest of the house because it's over the garage and the garage isn't insulated (built in the 60s and recently my new home). Fairly surethe insulation will correct this, but I'm a little confused by your video mentioning how one room can be one temperature and that can be set by the sensor, and another room can be another temperature and that also be sent stop by the sensor. How the heck can air be more chilled in one room and maintain a another temperature in another room? Maybe I'm missing something?

Do they require me to have a nest thermostat? Or does it work on its own? I want this just to see the temperature inside my living room but I don’t want to buy the smart nest thermostat

Ya... It would keep your pipes from freezing... But the rooms in your house would be 95 degrees. Good if you want the bedroom to perfect. Just remember that the rest of the house will not be the same. I have a new home and found that the temp at the main thermistat is 1 degree more than by the outer wall and a foot lower. Bedroom was 2 degrees different. This said you can just change the temp at night to make up for the 2 degree difference and not buy this. I mainly got it to see what difference is in each room and close vents. No need to buy 3.
