It’s called Haleem. And it’s much tasty with the garnish: chopped fresh green chillies, coriander, fried onions and ginger, with lemon squeeze over the curry 😋

Thanks to my bro Athar from Alipur for introducing me to haleem in New Zealand! Now I'm making it Delhi! In this video I made Pakistani-style Haleem, but the most famous variety is *Hyderabadi Haleem* and in recognition of its cultural and gastronomic significance, Hyderabad Haleem was granted the Geographical Indication (GI) tag in 2010, highlighting its unique identity and ensuring its protection against imitation or misuse.

As a Pakistani I have to say Haleem is love but also very underrated in countries outside of the subcontinent.
Outside of the subcontinent people only talk about dishes like Biriyani, Chicken Tikka Masal or Butter Chicken.

Haleem is a very time consuming dish. But when made properly and topped of with some lemon juice, crispy Brown onion, green Chili, Corriandor and some ginger and eaten with a roghni naan, very few things can compare.

I will always appreciate my mother(Maa Ji) for taking the enormous amount of time and effort it takes to make the best Haleem I've ever eaten.

My oldest is named Haleem. We went shopping at an Indian grocery store when he was around 5 he saw the spice box mix for Haleem and we had to explain to him that it was a Indian dish. He walked up to the cashier and said “I am Haleem and you can not eat me!” 🤣😂

I'm from Peru and I love Haleem. A family from Pakistan invited me to their home a while ago and gave me some to try it. I learned to cook it now, and it is a MUST in my kitchen. I buy the same box for the spices
