FOSA webinar Beyond DAS Advances in Distributed Rayleigh Sensing - AP Sensing
Показать описание
DAS technology has now been in active development for over 10 years. Recently the technology has been applied to applications requiring temperature and strain measurements, therefore extending the functionality past acoustic and vibration sensing. This presentation shows the recent advances in the field of Distributed Rayleigh Sensing of which Distributed Acoustic Sensing is a subset, and looks towards the future of this exciting technology. Presented by Dr. Gareth Lees.
Dr. Gareth Lees has over 26 years’ experience working in photonics starting in 1993 at BT labs, UK. This was followed by a PhD in Optical Fiber Sensing from the Optoelectronics Research Center, University of Southampton, then a number of research positions with HP, Bookham and more recently Engineering Manager at Schlumberger Fiber Optics Technology Center. Dr. Lees is currently the Research Director for AP Sensing.
