Jim Jordan, the photo only shows the cover folder. All contents have been whited out! Seeing the cover folder doesn’t threaten national security. Stealing all of the folders and contents and hiding at Mar-a-Lago threatens national security significantly!

I’ve been a Republican for almost 60 years and my father was a Republican all his life. Both of us had top-secret clearances when we were in the military. That means I grew up with an understanding of why things are classified and this was further reinforced by my training while I was in the Navy.

To put it bluntly, a document is classified if revealing its contents to people in general, especially agents of hostile foreign nations, would put the United States in danger.

This callous attitude demonstrated by some Republicans tell me that there are some Republicans in our government that should not be in our government because either they have no understanding of how things work or they do not care at all for the safety of the people who live in this country.

Any decent person should call out their leaders when they cross the line. I'd be calling for any person I've voted for since my first election in 1988 to be charged if the FBI found government property in their possession that they'd failed to return. This is the difference between Trump supporters and normal people.

That's crazy. When the FBI and DOJ were investigating ANY body else, I never heard a peep about not trusting them from these people.

Based on the law, signed by Trump in 2018, penalty for this crime is $5, 000 fine and/or 5 years PER DOCUMENT. for the 300+ docs that Trump had could be as much as $1, 500, 000.00 in fines and/or 1, 500 years in jail.
I would advocate for the latter jail time.

It’s time that all members of the House and Senate put on their big boy and big girl pants and stop playing very childish and dangerous games. It time to put away pettinesses and demagoguery and face the very serious issues that have brought this democracy to the brink of collapse. We all need to face up to the serious harm that’s already been created. All “good and decent” people need to join together to address the current situation, hold those accountable who need to be held accountable and show the world, including America; and show how a nation in turmoil, avoids further turmoil and cures a terrible time in this nations history

I wouldn't put it past Jim Jordan to try and tell people to look another way (in reference to what he tweeted about the TIME magazine in the photo). If he's willing to look the other way for kids who were abused during his tenure as a wrestling coach, he's definitely willing to tell people that SENSITIVE documents are not sensitive because there's a TIME magazine on the photo. Unbelievable.

Trump in 2018 made it a felony for the leaking or theft of certain documents that carried a misdemeanor charge at the time. That act could end up being one of the biggest own goals in American history. 🤣

The reaction to all this by republicans leeds me.to the question... Is every republican on Putin's payroll? It.seems that not a single one of them really care about our system of government, the well being of the American people or even their own, integrity, honor, the fiduciary responsibility the voters have entrusted to them. Or even their reputation among their neighbors.
