What's Your Motivation?

Your motivation to do "good works" reveals a lot about your theology. Are you trusting Jesus, or yourself for salvation?

Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast."

Ephesians 2:10 "For we are HIS WORKMANSHIP, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

Galatians 2:16 "..knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified."

Romans 4:5 "..to him that works not, but believes on him that justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness."

Romans 3:28 "Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law."

Romans 9:32 "Why? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone (which is Jesus).."

Galatians 3:11 "But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith."

Galatians 3:24 "..the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith."

Philippians 3:9 "And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.."
