This actually brings up an interesting question a few fans in the fandom have discussed. Due to the reveal of Nephilim, we can look back to the New Holy War arc if I remember correctly.

Mael after absorbing the commandments he took from the respective demons who possessed them, he turned out to have similar abilities to Tristian it seems. (Both Ark & Darkness/Hellblaze)

Mael could possibly have been defined as a Nephilim in the Angel Of Death form or his 4 commandments form, whichever you wish to call it.

Though, this also means we will have more new clans of hybrids in the future, the children of the sins and other characters we may see in the future.

My favourite are the Goddesses.
The supreme Diety and the 4 archangels are pretty much the only ones we know but they're still so fire.
Except for Elizabeth, but she has a nice physique so shes fine i guess.

We saw the first of the Nephilim when everyone found out Estarossa was none other than Mael of the goddesses. This is when he combines the four commandments he stole as Estarossa and became the first Nephilim (I believe)

I really love when manga/anime authors take inspiration from western mythology and theology. It’s always a good time. They really make it sound so mysterious or something. Like a few I can think of besides this would be neon genesis evangelion and even bleach with the quincies and yhwach being the evil Quincy Jesus where instead of he’ll die for you, they all die for him. There’s other popular ones for sure I can’t think of rn. But apparently even until recently japan didn’t know much about Christianity. It was still pretty mystical and foreign to them which shows in their art
