The 996 work culture is a horrible practice which is prevalent in many parts of the world especially China. Some companies are so destined for productivity that their employees are made to work from 9 am to 9 pm, 6 days a week. Hence the name '996 Work Culture.'
This type of labour exploitation is deeply rooted in various Chinese tech companies despite the Chinese Labour laws which limits the work time of employees.

On a good note many people have raised their voices and the awareness of such practices have been closely observed. There are protests and debates all over the internet and hopefully these types of work cultures are fully eradicated by the authorities.
