Hi Bianca! I am binge watching your videos ❤. I red the description of your channel and I wanted to tell you that I am a general radiologist and I work in the MRI room in a private practice. So we have something in common. Listening to you I totally understand that your art background is useful for your work. In my practice we have 3 radiology technicians and they are amateur photographers (but I love their work and I think that they are more close to a pro). One of them also builds musical instruments. Here in Italy there are not sonographers, the doctors will perform the US and try to get a diagnosis. This is not what I am specialized in. By the way, I want to compliment you for your colored pages. You do great. I am a beginner, started almost a year ago and I still have a long way to go. Sending love and thank you. ❤

Hi so I just had to tell you I’ve been playing around with gouache paint in my books like you showed and it’s amazing. The brushs you recommend are also great. I’m still working on blending but my background came out so nicely no lines or streaks You can’t beat the price of the paint compared to markers and other stuff thanks for sharing

I've been doing the same thing for about a year now, I find it much more fun than with colored pencils and I've always wondered if I'm the only one.😊
I will definitely try your tip to use nail art and makeup brushes.
For coloring books with poorer paper quality than the Basford books, I sometimes treat the pages first with gesso or homemade watercolor ground. This prevents bleed through and buckling.
I don't have the himi gouache though, I have the gouache from Rosa Studio, which comes in jars with screw caps and also is a budget friendly brand (at least here in Europe)

This is a really great video. I have watched it many times. Great tip for not peeling off the cover completely from the individual pots. I solved the problem of no names on the pots themselves by adding stickers that I wrote the names on them and stuck them to the pots. Regarding the fear of the gouache getting dry, I think, and this is just an assumption based on some videos of artists who use gouache, is that those artists use gouache differently to say us who use them in colouring books.they need the gouache to remain moist because the style and how they use the paints, they need it to stay opaque and easy to lift readily when they do their paintings.
Good luck with everything.

This was very helpful! I’ve had the 24 set for a while, but I haven’t exactly known how to get started. I’m going to order a porcelain palette and some nail art brushes. I’ll let you know how it goes ❤

Wow…thanks so much for sharing and especially for talking and sharing your thought process. I have been working up my nerve to start doing backgrounds, I have the Kingart Gel Sticks and now I know how to use them, can’t wait to start practicing…very excited!

To hear someone who cares about being a thoughtful ultrasound tech is heartening. Think of all the people you have helped. Thank you for role modeling that creative people can use their talents in many ways. I was curious about Himi. Great video.

Thank you I just came across you 😊 I have a giant box of Himi (you are right heavy!) have not used as I was fearful of them drying out - fear gone. 😂 I have wanted to try them in my colouring books but nervous of ruining page with water, just love the results you achieve and you have made me confident to try. Your page is really lovely, and you explained everything so well, thank you. Have subscribed 😊

Wow, really beautiful work! I've never tried gouache but I've been watching a couple people use it. I was surprised to see the back of the page in perfect condition! I want to try new things. But I also don't like being wasteful. I don't like the idea of sacrificing the back of any page I want to paint. I don't have a printer to just make separate pages, yet. Your lovely work makes me want to definitely try gouache. This was a very helpful video for me! Thank you!💖
