Hello Ellen, I used to have a couch, but it took up a lot of space and was difficult to move, so its been replaced by with a used electric recliner, a gift from my daughter, which which has proven more practical. You are inspiring me to sort books to sort or sell, organizing and cleaning. Like you, I bought items before my retirement to support hobbies such as painting, sewing, photograph. Still need to learn how to use the new camera. A Museum membership offers access to many events, clubs and organizations as well as art shows and receptions. Also focusing on spending more time on activities that bring pleasure to my life. Asking myself, "What would you like to do today?" Is a way of staying on track with self-care and balancing it with jobs in need of attention. Love your chats and the doggies, pets make great companions especially for those who live alone. I didn't realize you made your little gnomes, my little grand-child loves them!

I think you have the right plan. Clearing out some things to have some wall space will give the eye a places too rest and bring a sense of calm.

I think the “seasonal decorating” needs to be assessed by all of us. It basically means we are all programmed to buy, buy, buy. The necessity and mission of capitalism that we just go alone with without really thinking about it or questioning it or saying, “why - how does me buying this or that or decorating for the seasons really matter?” In all actuality, it doesn’t. Things” never bring real happiness. I don’t think anyone is going to ever say at the end of their life, “boy, I sure wish I had bought more/decorated more for Fall, Winter, etc.

16:28 . I just purchased a pack of 36 Peele adhesive pockets to put on the front of our see-through bins and also my proper buckets they allow for you to stick a 3 1/2 x 5“ card which I have plenty of in them and I just write on the card what is in the bin or what is in the 5 gallon food safe bucket that way if I ever change out what’s inside any of these items I just pull the card out pop a new card In on the adhesive pocket and Wala. I’ve got a new label aesthetically pleasing I’ve got a different color cards that are 3 1/2 x 5 that fit nice and perfectly into the pockets in the pockets peel off and stick to the bins and the buckets and I absolutely love them.

I totally surprised myself….first thing when waking up, I had Son put out all of front porch 🍁Fall Decor🍁 …now ☕️Cheers☕️ My Friend…You were talking about putting out your Fall Decor….Son always wants to move everything forward, so just went with it…even though I said I would wait awhile…Soooo Glad I was able to let go and just go with the flow….usually it’s coffee first. My form of decorating is very unusual! I don’t decorate by the holiday except for maybe Christmas not sure this year probably more so next year but I collect care bears I collect Popples, which are both stuffed animals from my childhood. I have the entire beanie baby collection or small stuffed animal collection of the short tales from when I was a kid. I also have a Bambi pillowcase and a bow winkle pillowcase but my form of expression for decluttering is my childhood things that used to bring me very much joy! I just put them in a little cubbies and they sit out on display and I love them Cabbage Patch kids as well.

Definitely nap time at your house! 😂 I remember when you bought those side chairs. I use to have a big 2-seater chair in that green color. Loved it so much.. finally met it's demise 😢
Our $🌳's are not great at all. Talked to a friend last night and she had stopped in 2 different ones and said still had almost zip that was worth buying. Seems to be that way this side of the Rockies. Corporate is on the otherside and main distribution sites also on the otherside.
Well the quesadilla makers are history at Aldi but the beligian flip-over waffle maker has arrived along with a slew of Fall and winter items. Some great
for gifts.
Don't waste money on the fabric storage bin/box at Dollar Tree..they deteriorate in a year as do their tote bags and the foldable/hangable fabric /plastic pocket jewelry holders. 🙁
You seem to be feeling even better today. Hope that is so and your pain is lessening. "Be good to yourself".😊

Ellen….. We have had historic 🥵heat🥵 in Kansas this summer…the heat continues into the first half of September ….Son just brought my ☕️coffee☕️ and a tiny warmed up 🍒cherry🍒 pie….what a treat….I am 🎉celebrating🎉 the end of August…😊KCMary😊

Agree there is a difference. Decluttering more like everything has its place and is in its place. Neat and tidy yet attractive.
Reasons beyond my control had me downsizing from a large home to a smaller one. Tough decisions as things must go. It’s so easy to start accumulating again. Lol. So I guess a lifelong task.

Ellen with lots of help from Son, he encouraged me to clear off Red Geranium Summer theme from front porch…I wanted to clear it out and put it away but energy wise, I needed a nudge…..it’s now history…..will let it lay undecorated for a few days. Then bring out Fall You All🎉😊🎉KCM
