i do think that server hopping with the tall tales will be more convenient once you start amassing a good amount, since you can only hold 5 cursed cannonballs at once, unless scuttling and changing seas takes sups with you, which idk why it would

This is a good tactic and all but instead of waiting for another ghost fleet or server hopping, activate the Order of Souls ghost fleet voyages instead, the boss at the end still gives wraithballs

Nothing better than letting a galleon think a solo sloop will be a cakewalk, then watching them sink in less than a minute.

We were doing a FoF when we noticed a sloop waiting for us to finish. I took a cannon rowboat over there and it was done after just 2 wraith balls

You can also bury a supply crate and hide the map somewhere you'll remember when you come to the new server it'll bring the map wherever it is with you since it didn't sink you just gotta find it and dig it up... it'll even give you stolen secrets cause it'll forget it was yours in the server hop

Me and my friends were on a brig and were doing the skele event and we got two gallons so this sloop came over for an alliance but they kinda did nothing the entire fight and just took most loot saying thanks so we sunk them or actually they just scuttled which was fun

So my friend and I (We'll call him Ricky) were playing a long session together back when the ghost fleet was the original flame heart event and I was a newer player. Ricky is a veteran who's helping me with some quests because I'm grinding hard to become pirate lord. (Ya... That goal used to have a bit of meaning and needs an update.) So we've hit up a couple ghost fleet quests, the flame heart event, and a few other odds and ends. The ship is now loaded up with a couple hundred or so worth of loot and we've docked to cash in the days haul.

My feet are thumping against the dock as fast as my heart was pounding as I bolted back to our humble sloop, desperate to try and defend it. We didn't even notice them before the cannon fire began. I jumped on the deck as the hull was being struck by the 4 guns of the galleon. Most of the first couple of volleys flying over our heads as they adjusted their aim shortly before the real pounding was about to begin. "Bail! BAIL!" Ricky orders as he defiantly returns fire. "BOOM" as I scoop out a bucket. "CRACK" "BOOM" as I try to patch a hole. "BOOM" "SPLASH" as my body is hurled away from the wall, very hurt and sinking into the flooding water. Panic... But I begin scooping out water as quickly as possible. Maybe they'll stop firing to repair their own boat? We just need a brief moment to escape... I can't repair on my own. If I stop bailing for even a moment... "BOOM" A glowing red flash. "BOOM" Then a purple one. "BOOM" "BOOM" One after another. Ricky was letting them have ALL of them. It seems as if they've stopped firing as several ghosts shrieked and the behemoth that casted a shadow over us rode low suddenly. All efforts to save themselves stopped because they were too busy dancing to the rainbow of cannon shots coming their way. They were done and gone when I was so sure our resistance was little more than a pointless hail mary. That was the day I learned the raw power of curse balls...
