John Fish. You're such a huge inspiration to me, for years now. Last November, watching one of your videos, I decided to try a 2months long break from social media (including youtube - except useful channels) + television... I made it and instead started learning coding and reading a lot. Since then I've been much more productive and somehow, your videos started this. Next May I'm applying for software engineering and I wouldn't do it nor believe in myself without you being truly helpful. Sorry for being too sentimental but I really think your videos help lots of people 💙 Also sorry if I made some grammar mistakes, I'm from Slovakia so... ✌

You’re so right...this entire time I’ve been studying and I’ve been viewing it somewhat negatively and thus I don’t get as much outcome out of it

John needs a Ted Talk. Prove me wrong. You can't.

I was in grade 12 last year and I was seeing learning as a necessary task to get through school. I'm now in college and I truly believe in learning for fun. Being motivated and enthusiastic about learning has tremendously changed the way I perceive it. I feel empowered with the opportunity to learn any subject I want and it's making feel very happy.

doing school is a responsibility you can hate it or enjoy it (still struggling and improving)
we are made to avoid danger and things we hate sometimes your goals are what you hate
wich you dont have to

5:53-7:43 he makes his best point. If you put full consideration and consistency into leading your favorite subject daily, It’ll become beneficial and help you on later in life with your job. Even just by putting in 10-30 minutes everyday, you can learn something new.

I like that idea about consistency. I've been learning English for the past 4 years. I never missed a day since then. Right now English is my major in the Uni, I have a job that requires a decent level of English fluency. I've read and watched so much content that is not available in my native language, I've met so many people, I've done so much. My life has changed. Everything it took was at least 15 minutes a day.

Thank you SO MUCH for this video. I have problems with stress, anxiety, and also if I just open a book or think about studying, I will start overthinking, I can't focus, I will start stressing, shaking, getting headaches, like just ... STRESSING. But this video helped me a lot. Thank you thank you THANK YOU for making this. I am going through a hard time in my life and I still have to study no matter what, and this helped me. Nice work, dude 💓😄

For some reason, I am here watching (listening).
Mile and miles for away (doesn't metter where I am on the globe)
Just one click it is enough to making a true invaluable connection.
Connecting strong minds, thoughts, expirences.

I’ve been learning for fun through YouTube for 6 of the 15 years of my life. There is just SO much educational content on this. It’s actually absurd. What’s also crazy is how easy it was to learn here. Only a small percentage of the educational videos I’ve seen have been boring, which allows me to just inhale them. Not to mention the YouTube algorithm that can keep the cycle of learning going for hours a day. The internet is so underrated when it comes to learning and education.
I’m even shocked at times by how much I know. What happens a lot in conversation is that a nerdy topic is brought up, and I’ve got basically talk down to the other person. It’s just all so crazy. I think I need to donate my both my kidneys to youtube as a thank you.

Learning for fun in school would have completely changed my collegiate experience. Unfortunately the motivation was to get a post grad job locked down 🤷‍♂️
