Power it with 28V @ 5A via the barrel jack for best performance. Remember you are effectively heating 2 irons so each will have 70W power available. I found that useful when trying to remove a crystal over a ground plane and without it a lot of hot air would have been required.

I am amazed by your detailed response. I never thought that you would give me such a detailed explanation, and for that, I am grateful. You know your stuff and then some. Thanks.

We have 5 units in our workshop and dozens of tips and it has become one of the main tools in the repair of LED panels.

I got a set the other day but haven't had a chance to try them out yet. I'll probably use my bench PSU with a barrel jack for these though.

Wow, that price sure went up... should have jumped on it when I had the chance.

For those of us who are poor, two soldering irons can work :)

I just wish this could be modular so you could use it as a regular soldering iron as well

I been using them for a few months. They are great and you need to get the better tips for them and you can do so much with them with the right tips.

Appreciate your videos, you are very good at explaining.

What I would really LOVE to see, is wireless small tweezers like this that also double as a small soldering iron, i.e. one leg of the tweezers to "open up", rotate 180° out of the way, and only the other leg to be heated. For us hobbyists that would IMHO be excellent, one device with multiple purpose. Reduces the number of devices required to buy in order to do something. But that's just my 2 cents.

Check for voltage leak on that tweezers, maybe make you surprise!

Just put them on the buy list for my work lab. I normally work on laptop motherboards so it may end up being a toy. Never used hot tweezers before so I'm hoping it will be a game changer for me as well.

if you do a follow-up, can you demo removing and installing can-type electrolytic caps?

Curiously, why didn’t you crank the temp up to 400C for those little tips to be able to recover quicker when they were pumping the head into the cap ?

where did you go to buy the tips please, do you have a goto place in the UK.

Could you post the model numbers of the JBC and AiXun tips shown @00:04:05 Thank you!

I just want t12 tweezers. Those JVC and all these tiny pens are too tiny for my large above average body and hands. The bigger the handle the better the leverage and scaling. I don't know why these new repair men like tiny tools picking up tiny parts. Its immature. Good video!

They are great value. Will get some at some point.

I'd love to hear about this bad boys longevity.

I know they sent them in for review, but what is your thoughts on the iron ? I have a bulky soldering station and have been watching you and a few other guys use these small battery/type c irons and have been really interested but there's so many options. I will likely pick up both tweezers and the iron.
