I was a 11 year boy in 1978 when late President J. Carter visited my country India, along with first lady Rossalyn Carter. A town in India is named after the 39th President of USA J Carter in Gurugram, in the state of Haryana 6 km from Delhi, it's called Carterpuri, which means Carters City. Late Presidents mother was a part of the peace keeping corps in India, president Carter was on a 5 day tour which included Poland, France, Iran and 2 days in India.

I’m amazed at the comments. The fact that so many can agree that he was a good man and follow that word with but.. missed Jimmys reason and purpose in life; which was to be a good person. No one person can ever keep this many people happy. Let’s just go with he was a great person well deserved of respect and recognition. He has left an amazing legacy by example. If you’re already a good person. There is always hope you can only become greater. So let’s all try to contribute positively to humanity first. We can easily solve the rest.

I didn’t especially like him as a president, but I loved him as a man. He was a great humanitarian! Always helping others. This man and his wife helped build homes for the less fortunate way into their golden years. RIP Mr President. Job well done. Your work here is finished. Peace and comfort for his family.
