I was abused as a kid and I haven't killed anyone or even close. That is no excuse.

I still can’t believe she is no longer alive. She was such an ambitious and hardworking women putting her self through college getting her PhD. It’s devastating to see and continue to hear how women are subject to violence on a daily, nevertheless the sickos that make it their purpose take the life of a vibrant and beloved women’s just because their ego was bused and rejected.

I hope her tragic death drives home to other women to not take their safe for granted and never brush off any physical, verbal threats toward them. Don’t go home, watch your review mirror in case pursued, obtaining and learn how to used a weapon.
Most of all, always keeps your guard up. Stay safe.

Pursehouse will probably get life with no parole, and it's what he deserves. Killing Amie was a true tragedy and her loss has affected so many people. RIP Amie and Courage to the family, friends and loved ones

I don’t forgive!! W T F!! Just because someone has a hard life gives NO EXCUSE to harass let alone KILL someone!! W. T. F!

So that makes it acceptable, because Pursehouse was abused as a kid? Ridiculous comment. Whatever suffering a person may go through in life doesn’t give them the right to take their anger out on another person and to end someone’s life. Everyone has experienced some kind of suffering in this life, but the majority of us choose not to be murderers.

It’s not up to Drew (weird to say that, that’s my daughters name) to forgive anyone. And a lot of people were abused and don’t go on to stalk terrorize then murder someone. Thanks a lot Drew for the empathy you feel for her murderer. That does so much to help with the world wide epidemic of violence against women, when you have a huge audience that you could use to make changes 👏👏😒.
It floors me. Wow if I’m ever murdered by a stalker and ex abuser I hope my ex forgives my killer 😒

I’m sorry, but I think victims should be able to kill their stalkers & abusers if they won’t leave them alone. No one cam imagine the fear of always being harassed, watched, threatened, & wondering when you’re going to be killed. Meanwhile, the law & police protect the criminal who won’t stop. The government either needs to change laws & lock these people up in psychiatric lockdown facilities for life if they won’t stop or allow the victims to shoot them until they stop without punishment. The current system puts the victims of death row with no idea when they’ll be executed.

Ladies, there is only one way to effectively protect yourselves: You need to make HIM want to leave you. That's the only way his ego will save face. No police intervention/restraining orders/whatnot will protect you. Only his ego and status compass will save you. You need to make yourself low value for him. Trust me on this one.

US Marshals and SWAT should pay these abusers routine visits once restraing orders are awarded (served). Just as a reminder to the abusers they are being watched, monitored ... and first to be under suspicion... should anything happen.

Would some snap out of their fantasies ... with consequence reminders?

Very heart breaking. Another female attempting to communicate the danger she's in (the undeniable fear that causes) ... and no one getting it.

"Lucky" but, heartbroken Drew ... he missed meeting up with her. Missed being under suspicion. But, the survivor's guilt that will cause during his grieving is ten fold. In addition to mourning the loss of his ex fiancee (who had just reached out to tell him something), while additionally realizing ... he may have also become a victim of murder ... (by the ex ... whom ever in these cases) ... had he/they had a chance to meet up again. And, will always wonder if they had met up ... could he have "saved" her from her ex? Fought him off ... thus, saving his ex fiance.

Condolences to her family. Deepest sympathy to Drew.

The suspect has caused unmeasurable grief for Drew as well.
Hope he talks to someone (a professional) to work through any unresolved grief.

At least Drew and (her, ) family were given a proper police investigation ... into cause and manner of death. Not told suicide or natural cause (by accident).

Could you imagine if LE had? And, Drew (or a family member) were the only loved ones ... not convinced - and death wasn't being investigated?!

At least Drew ... has that ... answer. And, knows solved. 🙏

And, very well may have the answer to who was trespassing on Drew's property when she was in the home ... and Drew was out of town.

A very bright light was snuffed out by an obsessive psychopath who couldn’t get over his own narcissism in being rejected….9 years earlier. And that’s the bottom line. Abuse suffered in childhood is absolutely no excuse to hunt, obsess on, stalk and then murder an ex who doesn’t want to be with you. Lots of people were abused in childhood. I’m one of them. That gives no one the right to hurt, abuse and then end the life of anyone else. This whole tragedy, well, it’s beyond sad. It’s infuriating. That guy is a monster. And my heart breaks for both Amie and Drew. He was most likely the love of her life and vice versa. RIP Amie, gone way too soon.

This has to be one of the saddest stories ever. Why men obsess over certain women is beyond me. I've dated some real beauties in my day and not once when it was over did I call, follow or contact any of them. Not even once. RIP Ms. Harwick.
