Have to say…..the iPad mini and Pencil Pro combo is really winning me over! It’s ultra portability and versatility has me reaching for it all the time now!

Thank you! I bought my first iPad mini few weeks ago. A bit weird, it’s smaller, but quite useful and enjoyable for reading and consumption. It’s also practical, I brought it everywhere while my iPad Pro 11” just stay at home.

My favourite is the iPad mini by far. The only thing I don't understand is it's weird pricing. If the pricing is right, the iPad mini's form factor is very lucrative.

I’m from Argentina, and I bought the iPad Air M2 one month after its launch. This product is truly amazing and very useful for university students.

My iPad M1 Pro 256GB LTE, which I got when it was first released, is still my go-to device for everything from waking up in the morning to going to bed. I use it for media, meetings, at times as my stereo, and all the other things I can do on an iPad. It’s amazing that I used 71GB of storage and that my battery health is still at 89%. 😊❤

I just bought my 2 iPad mini an upgrade from one I bought back in 2016 mainly because I was almost maxed out in space and I love it.

Overkill
4) iPad Pro 11”
5) iPad Air 11”
6) iPad Pro 13”

Thanks for this quick analysis. I bought the original 10th GEN earlier today and this video confirmed my decision in terms of value for money. I sold my iPad a number of years ago so anything recent is better than what I had before.

I think the mini has the best, most comfortable size. Unless you have to use your device specifically for something that requires a big screen, there will be hardly any advantage with a big screen but many advantages with a smaller 8.3 inch screen which is still much bigger than a phone screen.

I kinda disagree about the ipad 10th gen.

The base model comes with a 64GB of storage, this isn’t enough whether you’re a student, a grandma, an iPad kid - soon you’ll find yourself removing apps or using cloud which isn’t very comfortable. When you expand the storage to 256GB, the price becomes comparable to the 128GB iPad Air.

The lack of a laminated display is a very significant problem for note-takers who want a paper-like feel. A gap between the screen and the display makes your notes feel “distant” in a way. The base iPad is designed this way for schools to be able to repair it for cheaper, but it’s not the most user friendly design.

Moreover, the base iPad is more than 2 years old now, there being talks of iPad 11th gen already. It also uses an iPhone 12 chip. These are significant compromises as the base iPad isn’t as future-proof. On the other hand, the iPad Air uses m2, a computer chip, with double the amount of cores. For someone who wants to invest in an iPad for the long term, iPad Air is a better choice.

Honestly I only need it for School, taking notes and stuff (and i occasionally draw on procreate) so i think the “basic” ipad works fine.

Just upgraded from the 2019 5th Gen iPad Mini to the new 7th Gen. it’s the form factor that works for me, and really complements my Product Red iPhone 13 Mini.

Thanks for the content.

Honestly for 90 to 95 percent of the people regular iPad is best

For me
1. ipad 10th gen: for light usage on GPU and CPU plus max visibility: Grandfather, Grandmother, Teenagers
2. ipad mini : for maximum portability requirement with excellent performance. Children @ home and long trip travelers
3. ipad Air 11" or 13": For powerful gaming and almost everything you through at it. College Students, Presentations in any job, data collection during any job, ...etc
4. ipad pro 11" or 13": The ultimate ipad money can buy: Serious demanding content creators (requiring Multiple video and audio streams with tons of filters applied). Huge coding projects requiring shorter compilation times, Huge CAD designs for manufacturing and simulations requiring huge amount of RAM like 8GB

I see so many people buy the pro or the air when all they are going to do is stream videos and surf the web. They don’t understand that even the most basic iPads will do 95 percent of what the pros do and 99 percent of people will never use that 5%.

A lot of this has to do with tech bros who are producing video content. THEY need the power of the pros. Their grandma does not.

I’m still using a 7th gen ipad for business and it does everything I need and more.

The iPad mini can be found for $400 in the US. Taking price out of consideration, it is still the best all rounder in my opinion. It can do most of the things you want an iPad to do, in a size you actually want to use. I’ve had the 11” and 12.9” Pro, but I have only used the Mini consistently. My only caveat is if I were a student, I’d probably go with the 12.9” for screen real estate.
