The guy is 20 and people are saying his career is underwhelming. We're coming towards the end of the era with 2 of the best players to ever kick a ball and its made people think if a player isn't playing consistent first team football for a super club at 18 then they're a flop. Let the kid cook man

39 games played 8 goals 13 assists, playing RW and CM. looks confident, creative and skilful. I’d hardly say he’s finished. I think a championship club sign him up soon.

It's genetic. West African kids develop at a very young age. He was very small, quick, skillful, confident and brave but he got to the stage where he couldn't progress. I hope he fulfills his early potential.

I live in Blackpool and my kids are Junior Seasiders members, so we got to meet Dembele the other week as well as the rest of the Blackpool squad. A more genuine, likeable guy you couldn’t meet. He had all the time in the world for the children, played games with them, had his picture taken and spent ages signing a multitude of memorabilia.

Also, my son asked one of the other team members who the best player in the squad was. His answer was Dembele! So no, the hype ISN’T just media driven in my opinion.

He also was one of those kids that grew earlier than everyone else so he was not only faster but stronger and bigger than alot of them but he topped putnin size early and now he is far smaller than most fullbacks so he cant play the same
