Samsung Galaxy Mega I9205 hard reset

1.Power off your phone
2.Press together power button + volume up + home button
3.Release your fingers when Samsung logo appears on the screen
4.Browse with volume buttons and select "wipe data/factory reset" with power button
5.Confirm "yes" with power button
6.Wait until the format is complete
7.Select "reboot" and press power button to select it
8.Wait until the phone restarts
That's it.

it wont work for me. ive tried it about many times. it just turns back on every time no matter how long i hold it for. it will turn on once i let go..

I've tried this and tried and my phone is still on the battery screen. It vibrates then shows the battery screen.please help

i have a galaxy mega same one i use it for a couple of minutes and the screen turns purple after a while then reboots by its self

This worked for me But what your not able  to touch your phone and go to the next screen. I cannot do that. It seems as though my phone is stuck? please help

it wont work for me. I've tried it about 15 times. i've tried different combinations:
Volume up+home+power
home+ volume up + power
power+volume up+home.. 
It just turns back on everytime no matter how long i hold it for it will turn on once i let go.
