You make it harder than it needs to be. Just follow instructions that came with the screen. I align the screen to the iPad, tape it in place ( create a hinge on one side with tape) then open it like a book, clean the screen, use a dry cloth to dry it, use a sticker to pick up dust you can't see with the naked eye, remove the film then drop the screen over to the iPad.

ipad air has an anti-reflection screen, which gets lost with the application of the film... isn't it?
