LIVE: Israel hit by rocket attack from Lebanon

Fears of all-out war between Hezbollah and Israel were rising on Saturday night after at least 12 people, including children playing football, were killed in a rocket strike from Lebanon on the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. The attack was the deadliest on Israeli civilians since the October 7 massacre.

Israel blamed Hezbollah, the Iran-backed Lebanese militant group, and vowed to strike back hard. Hezbollah denied that it was behind the attack, which came after months of cross-border violence.
