Why should they give them more time? Any law that passes should be confirmed if it's unconstitutional or not before pushing it into law. They had plenty of time since the bruen decision.

IMO, this sounds like the State of New York fully knows it doesn't have a leg to stand on, and they will lose at the SCOTUS level. It's about time they learn their lesson! 🙂

This display of supreme ignorance by N.Y. is totally mind boggling. If I understand the situation correctly, the state of n.y. being upset with the SCOTUS initial order to have it reviewed by the district court which previously found it to be illegal. Fearing the judge of the district court will again, using the guelines issued by SCOTUS, find it illegal, applied to SCOTUS fr an immediate hearing. Knowing they initially lost there. How utterly ridiculous.

I’ve lived in NY all my life- I spent 1 year in Atlanta while in college. I live upstate NY. I’ve spent enough time in the city. Looking at retirement, I’m hard pressed to stay here. High property tax, high cost of living, good healthcare, even where I currently live in Rockland County, there are too many people, crime is too high, there is not enough land to garden and yeah, the 2A restrictions are just insane. I can’t own any body armor. I can’t even if I didn’t own a gun, have something that would protect me. So sad. VT, NH, PA ??? I’ve got to leave because of a Dem Gov and overpopulated big cities - most real estate in this state is RED! Very sad.

Hoping NYC gets set straight. I put my application in for a "Full Carry" in August 2022. I have a restricted premise now and was looking forward to an unrestricted license. NYC and NYS loves to drag their feet. Fingers crossed SCOTUS hands out a whooping to the lower courts!
