Legends: Mandalore the First. Mandalore the Conqueror, Mandalore the Ultimate, Mandalore the Indomitable, Mandalore the Preserver, Mandalore the Unknown, Mandalore the Lesser, etc.

When I played KOTOR, I really liked how mandolorians weren't outright overpowered. Most of them were weaker than a jedi, but often the leader of a band of mando mercenaries actually did match me in combat, and it felt cool to find a warrior like that. Of course then you have the leaders who actually match to highest tier jedi and sith. Using Canderous and watching him tear the sith academy apart with Revan was a lot of fun. It was even better when he joined my party in KOTOR 2. I do think mandalorians are a bit too evil throughout galactic history, especially when Mandalore the Vindicated continued to work with the sith despite their attempt to enslave the people, but hopefully the new canon will create a more "neutral" culture where they fight jedi and sith (I'm not saying they need to be good, just that they don't stick to one side all the time).

So basically Jango Fett and Din Djarrin have the same type of stories. Both were not true Mandalorians, but were saved by Mandalorians and were raised basically as Mandalorians and went on to become bounty hunters who had a son, Boba Fett/Baby Yoda.

According to the revan novel canderous ordo and revan went to retrieve the mask i am pretty sure because revan hide it. Then canderous became mandalore in order to prepare for the sith invasion if revan failed to defeat the emperor.

Roon was a planet much further south on the galactic map, near Hutt Space. Mandalore, or Manda'yaim, as Mandalorians called it, was a planet in the northern quadrant.

But Pre Visla wasn't a True Mandalorian. He was Deathwatch, a faction that broke off from the pacifist New Mandalorians, who had previously broken off from the True Mandalorians.

I liked Mandalor' the Ultimate and Perserver, I liked when Ultimate defeated Malak in singe combad.. That was a really good storyline in the KOTOR comics. I loved Canderous so much, awesome character, really likeable, he's war stories always kept me at the edge of my seat, especially the Yuuzhan Vong nod to the future.

My favorite Mandalore will always be Mandalore the Ultimate. I love his design; he really cared about the Mandalorians, too; it sucks, though, that he was deceived by the Sith.

Roon was not renamed Mandalore.

The Taung resided there, from circa 90.000 BBY until 7000 BBY, where they left, found another planet, conquered it and renamed that planet.
