If you are not able to retrieve the meta-data then check the IMDSv2 setting:

"Go to EC2 > Instances > Select Instance > Actions > Instance Settings > Modify Instance Metadata Options > IMDSv2. If the setting is set to Required, change it to Optional". This will allow the curl command to get the instance metadata.

bhaiya ek doubt tha.... Jab security grps ke under i select my-ip instead of anywhere ipv4. and uske baad i tick on the http from internet tickbox tab wo my-ip wala rule valid rahega? kyuki hmne toh http from internet allow kr diya hai? toh wo my-ip rule sirf ssh ke liye hota hai ya dono ssh and http?
