October is Adopt A Shelter Dog Month! Visit aspca.org/Fido to find your new best friend. Lisa is a bright young girl who is eager to learn! She works very hard to excel at new skills, especially when she’s rewarded with a treat. She enjoys playing with her human companions and dog friends. This laid-back lady appreciates the finer things in life like a quiet nap, good conversation and smooth jazz music. She walks nicely on her leash and will stick right by your side when you’re out for a stroll. Lisa may be housetrained, but a routine walking schedule will help her quickly adjust to her new home and only use the bathroom outside. Lisa can live with another dog. An experienced dog adopter, and a home with kids six-and-up would be a great match for this friendly pup!

Seeing these types of videos makes me want to buy a bigger house so I could adopt another dog. My two rescues are great I just wish I could help more! 💓

I wish I could. We have five big dogs, two are rescues, one is a rehoming, and two are pups from two of them before all were fixed! One of the rescues is a pit mix male and a sweetheart. When these grow old and go across the Rainbow Bridge, we will look into getting more rescues. Maybe even some seniors since the posts with people that are doing that are so motivating. These five are spoiled rotten and to spoil more rescues would be fantastic!!

Awwww!!! We just adopted a beautiful, wonderful pit bull or we’d snatch her up. Anyone who’s hesitant because she’s a pit bull, I can’t say enough how great our new baby’s been. He’s been through a lot - he came from a California kill shelter and they had no history on him whatsoever, and they transferred him here to a last chance shelter. He’s got some scars and probably a fractured jaw. But he’s the sweetest dog, loves attention, and he’s a total clown.
