35:55 interesting that the hubris of the uniform exit polls, and the bad experience spawning from saying truth to power made the presenter simply declare the positive net gain of +17 in north by the I.N.D.I.A alliance as a small gain, dismiss Manipur (utterly chaotic right now) for the results coming up for Assam. highlight the bitter battle between TMC and BJP in West Bengal (btw, BJP lost 6 seats in WB); combine Hindi speaking central regions with the western zones. a simple increase of ‘up 10’ in the South was described in huge details, but the gains made by the opposition alliance in the Hindi heartland of +41, after a Ram Mandir, after the PM fought from Varanasi, was so easily, summarily and categorically dismissed.. like the unmentionables they have been for the last 10 years. Once bitten twice shy, and the world wonders why the Indian democracy suffers..
it’s this jingoism, selective spin and representation of complex datasets portrayed in just 1min 26 of live broadcast that may shed some light.

The presenters corrected course after this and were a bit cautious. Maybe first hint of troubles to come if they continued to latch onto the exit polls.
At least it allows us to see a parallel universe of what would have happened if Hillary had won in 2016, not through the popular vote, but with the electoral college.. and then the rest of the world would have succumbed to watching the western media spins to justify why the polls were good enough - since those who have, got the results they seeked.
Kudos to the 4th pillar.
