Yes, I broke. I couldn't wait to get stuck into my new collection of these amazing kits. In this video I show and tell all about the bloody amazing world of Wingnut Wings. Hooked is not the word, more like infatuated haha. Designed by Modellers, made for Modellers.

I know the feeling kiddo....I've got three Wingnut Wings so far (two Albatros and one Fokker D.VII) and gagging to get more of them, must have a word with Santa I think!
Have seen two Sopwith Camels that I want, a Fokker E.l Early and a Sopwith Triplane, being that the Triplane is out of production since I while back, it cost an arm, leg and your left nut!
In time, one Albatros will representing Fritz Rumey's machine, the other....Eduard Ritter von Schleich and the Fokker D.VII, Bruo Loerzer!
Thinking of getting another Fokker D.VII though and do her as Rudolph Berthold's bird, with his tragic fate, in Hamburg on the 15th of March 1920....

Keep 'em great videos coming mate! 🤜🏻🤛🏻🍻

They are astounding kits. The best of all time, in my opinion....although some Tamiya kits also deserve that level of praise.

Good video and gave a like. I am looking at getting my first WNW model. Looking at the Von Richtoffen Albertros. A little worried it maybe above my skill level, but it can sit in the cupboard until I think sod it and build it. The other thing is I ordered the engine spue for that kit so I can build that up, nice to be able to do that. Also I sent them an email asking about shops in Wellington, New Zealand who stock their kits. Have to remember this was over the xmas period and got a reply from Richard the manager of WNW the following day. So you get good service without even buying their products. Maybe I'm a little biased being a Kiwi, but try getting that from another model manufacturer. Oh also their modeling tip for plywood effect and painting laminated props. Just another nice touch.

Ooh the painting on the sprue debate. Always makes me laugh that you'd spend time and effort removing something from the sprue only to try and find a suitable way of holding it when painting. It's easier to do what you have done, clean up other attachment points and you have the part held in place to paint. I've spent many years painting and selling 1/72 figures worldwide and where possible they are painted on the sprue. Beautiful kits from WNW, they really do look after the modeller.

I'm a new subscriber so just going back through the collection of videos. In this you mention bulkhead v firewall. Even in English as opposed to US English it is a firewall, being a bulkhead which is fire-retarding. Keep up the good work, and you are not as old as me 🤗

Wingnut wings have missed a huge opportunity because they have parts makers outside of New Zealand 🇳🇿 Covid has affected them massively ! With all these lockdowns the western world has endured over the last 18 months the sale of models have seen a huge surge ! If wingnut wings had the production of the kits made in New Zealand 🇳🇿 instead of China 🇨🇳 they would have been able to continue selling models during Covid as it is they have had to temporarily shut their doors until everything opens up again
