In 3:40, plane A, can we simply shift the origin at 1, 1, 0 position, right below 111 and from here we can find all intercepts as -1, -1 and +1

Thank you for sharing these great videos. For Callister, P3.38, looking at the diagram for "plane 1" that you shared it looks like z is rather at 0.2 nm like x which is also at 0.2 nm and y is at 0.4 nm. So, this tells me that z should be 1/2 and not 1. Meaning the miller indices for this problem should be (212).

Good explanation and Thankyou. I have a question to ask. The multiples of the plane indices are not identical right. So when writing the miller indices for a plane we clear fractions by multiplying by a number. So that will change the plane right. I mean (in 9:53 of the video) if we draw (211) plane we will get a parallel plane to the plane in the question (in 10:00 of the video). Can you explain this please.

Can we change the coordinate to any corner point of the cube? If we do so for the case of green plane and move coordinate to the lower edge on original y axis, we end up getting (2 -2 0) plane!
