ABOUT ‘LES ROBOT’
The self-titled 2005 debut set by Canadian guitarist and lunatic genius Les Robot drew comparisons to Beck, Zappa & Waits by fans, and is a raw sample of his overwhelming creativity. Nylons, pet monkeys, and cocaine cowboys... the collection is organically eccentric and full of an absurdist humor that never feels pretentious or forced. Robot fuses country, classical, electronica, and shred into a unified sound held together by well-above-average songwriting skills and a large portion of rock attitude. As a first album, this makes a strong statement.
