In my teens my cat saved me from suicidal thoughts and suffering. Just watching him for a while being so calm relaxed and balanced, this brought me to inner balance and I just let go all that nonsense in my mind. What I couldn't do being with humans, they were bringing only more disturbance to me. ❤ Now I am just happy by myself. And still feel very thankful for these moments with my cat teaching me how to be.

im just a random person on the internet and no one from my circle knows it so I think i can say it safely here. My cats literally saved my life.
So year and a half ago I lived on the 16th floor. I have depression for a long time. For few years I had everything ready for me to go. At that time I had my oldest baby Peach for few months and my youngest Baguette only for two weeks.
Once I stood up with a straight thought on my mind. I couldn't handle this anymore. But suddenly i made eye contact with Peach who was lying on the table. His eyes were so clear like he felt safe and relaxed. I was like "wat am i doing? how can i destroy their feeling of safety?". So I stopped.

I'm not saying i healed immediately I'm still learning how to live with it. Meds, therapy and most of all my precious precious fur babies definately make my life so much better.

I love how he lets you grab him quite forcefully and place him in the spooning/cuddling position. I think most cats would struggle against that. He’s probably a one in a million cat.
