Kite flying Impact | Bird Rescue

Kite flying is Fun for us. However kite flying has a massive impact on birds. Use of thick strings/Chinese manza has made the kite flying harmful to birds. The strings are left entangled in trees and wires. Many birds get caught in the strings and are injured and killed. This video shows the rescue of a Black Kite (Milvus migrans) which was badly entangled in a kite string and was hanging in a mango tree. Prompt call to local animal rescue NGO (Animal Resq Team) in Pune led to rescue of the bird. Please spread awareness among people to stop flying kites so that lot of lives of birds can be saved.
