This is gorgeous. I just love Scott Hanselman.

The excuses for not preaching this narrative within the enterprise grow thinner and thinner. But, even though there is promise of peace and tranquility on the other side, there is the question of getting there and if you can go there without the skill set of somebody who knows a lot about the inner workings of .NET.
Like, how much experience do these guys have when they scroll over a list of dll dependencies? How much will I suffer because I cannot pick up on a dependency that wasn't supposed to be there? What if I can't spot the odd one out? How much digging would it take me to understand that some visual library prevented me from making some transition?

How many google-fu defying problems will I have to spend hours on because my manager agreed to make things portable just for code hygiene and this buzz word "portability" that we promised would pay dividends down the road?

Maybe next year they can show my decompiled dependencies not in terms of 50+ dll's, but in terms of two-three "things". Like ".NET Core 2.0" and ".NET 4.6 client profile". And maybe even some tooling offering suggestions to trim down those that unnecessarily restrict my mobility. Like when resharper states that you do not need a concrete dependency, because you only use what is exposed in its base / interface.

Jetbrains Resharper gets a rough time from Microsoft Visual Studio: It always was unwritten law that RS was needed additionally - now VS even gets a decompiler (plus continuosly improved refactorings based on Roslyn)...

I want a MRIsland like XamlIsland. I want to go Toolbox -> drag drop MRIsland. Then have a 3D Space like Paint 3D in which I can have all the keyboard and mouse controls to work with my 3D objects. Also want to be able to work with my 3D space as a normal desktop app window or with the MR headset. And last of all I want it as a NuGet package next week. (Please)

.NET looking good! If only I could enjoy Scott Hanselman's presentation style; a little antsy/aggressive for my tastes. Maybe it's just me...
