Diablo 1 is about mere mortal challenging great evil. and the triumph over it.

Diablo 3 is more about superheroes with superpower. A single blow & hordes of enemies drop like flies.

The feel is so much different.

This is not what I was expecting at all. The tilesets are obviously re-used from d3. For some reason I had it in my head that we would get diablo 1, but with D3 graphics. Maybe my expectations were too high, but this is a real bummer

I don't get it. What is the purpose of this "patch"? And how is this supposed to be in any way related to Diablo 1?

I'm not a fan of D3, but this is definitely an awesome throwback to D1. The music, the enemies, the quotes, the items design, the walking (albeit fast walk), etc. there are a lot of nice touches everywhere it seems. Also for people complaining about the frame rate, it seems to be running smoothly, it's the animations themselves that have less frames of animations, effectively giving them a more D1/2 look.

they should've focused their efforts on a *Diablo 2 remake*, not on a map that people will play one or two times, and forget about it....

I really like the idea. The sounds effects, the music and some other details bring back the nostalgia. But I must agree that it could be a lot better. I'm currently replaying Diablo 1 and I can see it's much more deeper than that.
