I think this is an adaptation to keep eyes from freezing solid in cold climates. Koreans, mongolians, north Chinese and north Japanese, and east Asians in Russia, as well as tibetans and and Siberians, those ethnic populations, adapted for snowy weather. Similar for people from Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Greenland, and the indigenous Sami. Imagine going out in the snow and it's below freezing, the wind is dry and harsh, with blizzard flakes like glass shards falling from the sky, and you're crying reflex tears to keep your eyes lubricated. If your blood vessels around your tear ducts cannot stay warm, your eyes will freeze faster. So it's not just for looking cute, it's for being able to survive in the cold I think.

I have hooded hunter eyes but they make me look too intimidating and depressed at all times because my eye color is shining dark brown💀

We use makeup because its readily available for us and widely socially acceptable to wear, who wouldn’t want to look better? Theres a societal pressure for everybody to look better. However majority of us don’t want to use makeup, its uncomfortable and expensive, ofcourse we’d want to achieve these looks naturally but either we dont have the money for surgery or we havent discovered natural things like looksmaxxing. Now that i have stumbled across your account explaining alternate methods, im more than happy to give it a shot.

I have aegyo sal but mine is muscle controlled not a fat layer like Chico. Mine is stronger when I’m smiling or squinting but bc it’s not fat when neutral it doesn’t show much unlike Chico which his stays the same.
