2023 Cinematic Recap: vs. Duke

No. 4 Florida State defeated 16th-ranked Duke 38-20 inside a sold-out Doak Campbell Stadium and a national television audience on ABC. The Seminoles were led by Jordan Travis' 330 yards of total offense on a night he broke the program's record for career total offense. He also tied the FSU record by accounting for multiple touchdowns in his 14th straight game. Deuce Spann provided a spark with a 99-yard kickoff return after Duke had taken a 10-point lead in the second quarter. After Duke held a 20-17 halftime lead, Florida State outscored the Blue Devils 21-0 in the second half to pull away for the victory and remain undefeated. The Seminoles reached 30 points for the 13th straight game, the longest active streak in the nation, and improved to 7-0 overall and 5-0 in the ACC in 2023. Florida State's defense held Duke to only 92 total yards in the second half while allowing the Blue Devils to pick up two third-down conversions and zero of their two fourth-down attempts.
